DAOs and Governance
There are two DAOs associated with Rocket Pool. The Oracle DAO (oDAO) and the Protocol DAO (pDAO). They each serve very different roles and both are in flux in terms of power they wield.
pDAO governance represents the Node Operators of Rocket Pool and deals with funding, roadmap and protocol improvements. oDAO governance represents a set of trusted nodes and primarily is tasked as a check on contract deployment and relaying information between the currently non-communicating Execution Layer and Consensus Layer.
Aspects of Rocket Pool Governance are debated on discord, then more formally in discourse forums where Rocket Pool Improvement Proposals (RPIPs) are debated and posted before being voted on in snapshot votes.
